RULES IN PLACE TO MANAGE TIME AT THURSDAY’S
CARY COUNCIL SESSION ON SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT

CARY, NC – Expecting a large turnout at tomorrow night’s public input session on school assignment, the Town of Cary has established a number of rules for the evening to give as many people as possible the opportunity to be heard.

The October 3 meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will include a 90-minute public comment period on the impact of the Wake County Public School System student assignment procedures and be followed by Council discussion. Individuals wishing to speak during the comment period must personally sign up in the Council Chambers between 6-6:20 p.m. that evening prior to the meeting. The 90-minute comment period will then be equally allotted to all registered speakers; only those citizens who sign up before the meeting will be allowed to speak. No telephone calls or e-mails will be accepted as a means of sign up.

The Cary Town Council Chamber is located in Town Hall Building A at 316 N. Academy Street in downtown Cary.
