CARY POLICE SEARCH FOR MISSING ALZHEIMER’S PATIENT CARY, NC – Cary Police are asking for your help in locating a man who left an assisted living facility on foot this afternoon, possibly headed towards Garner, NC. Around 5 p.m. today, Worth Lynn Sorrell, 78, apparently opened his bedroom window and climbed out of the Alterra Claire Bridge assisted living center at 7870 Chapel Hill Road in Cary, NC. Sorrel suffers from Alzheimer’s and has been a resident of the caretaker facility for the last several weeks. He is not known to be a danger to himself or to others, and he is currently not suffering from any known life-threatening condition. Sorrell is a white male, 6’ 2" tall, and 185 pounds. He wears glasses and is balding with gray side hair. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a striped shirt, a khaki jacked, and white sneakers. Sorrell reportedly stopped at an Exxon filling station at the intersection of Chapel Hill and Maynard Roads asking for directions to Garner, NC. He is believed to be attempting to make his way to 310 Loop Road in Garner, his former home, now vacant.
