Santa's Workshop, 10 a.m. – 12 noon, Herbert C. Young Community Center, 404 N. Academy St. "Make It and Take It" craft event sponsored by the Cary Teen Council for children age 12 and under accompanied by an adult. Santa will make a special appearance during the event.
During Santa's Workshop the Cary Teen Council will sponsor a food drive. All contributions will be given to the Food Bank of NC.

Artists' Reception, for the Fine Arts League of Cary Members’ Annual Holiday Show, 2 - 4 p.m. at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. The mixed media exhibit continues through January 2, 2002.

Town of Cary Holiday Tree Lighting & Page-Walker Open House, Town Hall Campus, 6 p.m.
Tree Lighting
(6 -7 p.m.) featuring: Cary Police Officer George Almond, who this past year was injured in the line of duty, will have the honor of lighting the Town’s Holiday Tree. Steve Daniels, news anchor for WTVD Eyewitness News and Cary resident, will host this year’s ceremony. Performances by the Cary Ballet Conservatory; folk duo CityFolk; the Encore Singers; West Cary Middle School Choir; and The Cary Town Band.
Page-Walker Open House
(beginning at 7 p.m.) featuring holiday refreshments, jazz performed by Moment's Notice, and magic for kids of all ages by Michael Creech.
