CARY POLICE SEEKING TWO ROBBERS
CARY, NC – Cary Police are looking for suspects in two cases of robbery. The first took place at Horowitz’s Delicatessen, 107 Edinburgh South, on August 8, 2001. At approximately 2:52 PM, a white male with a dark tan, 5’8" to 5’9" tall, wearing a maroon shirt, entered the business. He talked briefly with a store employee and bought a drink. Then he implied that he had a gun and left the store with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect was last seen walking away from the business in the front parking lot.
The next day, on August 9, a black male, 25-35 years old, approximately 6’ tall, wearing a red shirt, blue jeans, and a hat on backwards with the words "a real guy", entered Merit Cleaners, 1301 Buck Jones Road, and told the attendant he was there to pick up clothes. When the attendant looked for the clothing, she couldn’t find anything under the name given. She then asked the suspect to write the name down. As he began to write it down, he told the attendant to never mind and asked for change for a dollar. When she opened the cash register, the suspect pushed her hands away and grabbed the cash, about $100. He was last seen running out of the business headed toward Motel 6.
Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this crime. Anyone with information may contact Crimestoppers at 226-CRIME (226-2746); for Cary Police press 3 at the prompt or call 469-4017. All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL.
