PETER PAN REALLY FLIES IN UPCOMING CARY PRODUCTION

CARY, NC – True to the original fantasy, Peter Pan really takes flight in Applause! Cary Youth Theater’s fall production of Peter Pan, being presented on Thursday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m., Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 17 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Cary Academy Fine Arts Center, 1500 N. Harrison Ave. Tickets are $3 for children 12 and under and $5 for adults and can be purchased in advance at Town of Cary Community and Arts Centers or at the door if seats are available.

With more than 49 area children involved in the production, the timeless story focuses on a little boy who doesn't want to grow up. He makes three friends- Wendy, John, and Michael -and teaches them to fly. He brings them to Never Land, a magical place filled with fairies, mermaids, pirates, and Indians. The group meets the lost boys and has many exciting adventures.

Applause! Cary Youth Theatre provides performing arts opportunities and experiences for young people in Cary including classes, workshops and on-stage productions. Their performances in turn provide family entertainment for the community.

Future cultural arts performances in Cary by Applause! include a performance of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" on May 9, 10, and 11 at Sertoma Amphitheatre in Bond Park.
