WEEKEND UPDATE is a publication from the Town of Cary to help you plan your weekend news coverage. WEEKEND UPDATE gives the date, time, location, contact person, and short description for any significant activity sponsored in whole or in part by the Town during the upcoming Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. A NR designation indicates that the activity does have an associated news release, so check your files or visit us online for further details.
The length of each WEEKEND UPDATE will vary depending on the number of activities scheduled, and when, on that rare occasion, there are no weekend activities to report, no WEEKEND UPDATE will be issued.

The
24th Annual Lazy Daze
Arts and Crafts Festival to be held on Saturday, August 26th
from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. This event, co-sponsored by the
Town of Cary, Cary News, BB&T and WPTF-AM, will have
vendors from 17 different states from New York to
Louisiana participating, which is one the largest in the
Southeast. Festival-goers are encouraged to take
advantage of the FREE shuttle buses that will provided
every 15 minutes from Cary Towne Center. For more
detailed information about this event and parking

**In the event of rain, the festival will be held on Sunday, August 27th from noon to 7:00 PM. This weather decision and subsequent announcement will be made before 8:00 AM on Saturday if the event is delayed. |
