NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 19, 2000 SUSPECT AT LARGE AFTER ROBBERY CARY, NC – Cary Police are asking for help in locating one suspect who robbed the Stride Rite Shoe Store in Cary on October 18, 2000 at 7:55pm. A man entered the Stride Rite store at 657 Cary Towne Blvd and said " This is a robbery; I will shoot the cashier". He then reached into the register and grabbed $250 dollars in cash, and ran out of the store. The robber did not show a weapon. Police are looking for a black male, 5’10" tall, 140 lbs. Described as very skinny, having a very rugged appearance.
Suspect composite Cary Crime Stoppers will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the individual responsible for this crime.
