GRANDFATHER OF MISSING GIRL TO HOLD
NEWS CONFERENCE TOMORROW IN CARY

William G. Simpson, grandfather of missing Cary High student Amanda Simpson-Deane, will make a personal appeal to and field questions from local media tomorrow, November 21st at 9:30 AM in the Town of Cary Police Department’s training room. Simpson is traveling today from Livingston, New Jersey and will meet with investigators early tomorrow morning prior to the news conference. Simpson has asked for the news conference hoping that his personal appeal will help in the investigation. Simpson also wants to thank local law enforcement and media for efforts thus far.

Amanda Belon Simpson-Deane, 16, has been missing since after her first period class ended at Cary High School on Tuesday, September 19. She is a black female, 5’8" tall, 120 pounds, brown eyes, shoulder length brown hair, and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing an orange and blue pullover, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers. Her backpack was found last week in a small pond off Chatham Street, but no other signs of Amanda were found when officials drained the pond and searched the area.
