CARY, NC – Without a hint of snow, the Town of Cary's Snow Command closed about 4:30 PM without spreading a grain of sand or salt. Contract crews from Michigan were turned around when cities east of Cary declined to use the plows to dig out from under their white blanket.

However, Public Works crews were busy putting the final touches on preparations for tonight's tree lighting ceremony and Page Walker Heritage Open House, all which begin at 6:00 PM on the Town Hall Campus. The annual Holiday Concert and Tree Lighting will be inside the Cary Community Center gym downtown of the Town Hall Campus at 404 North Academy Street as a precaution.

This is the final snow update.
