DAYBREAK BRINGS MORE WAITING FOR SNOW

CARY, NC - Like the Energizer Bunny, we keep waiting and waiting and waiting.

Instead of clearing roads, Town of Cary Public Works & Utilities staff and contract workers joined the rest of the Triangle lying in wait for what still may be December's first snow. At Cary's Snow Command, the Town's sand and salt trucks stand by along with a dozen private road graders from Garner. Ten snowplow contractors from Michigan will join Cary's snow squadron this afternoon.

A decision on tonight's annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Page Walker Heritage Open House will be made later today.

The Town of Cary's Snow Info web section will be updated regularly with the latest news, weather, closings, and coping information. Visit FAQ/INDEX at www.townofcary.org.

Again, PLEASE DO NOT CALL 9-1-1 UNLESS YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY POSING AN IMMEDIATE THREAT TO LIFE, HEALTH, OR PROPERTY.

The next update will be issued around 12:00 noon unless changing conditions warrant sooner action.
