CARY POLICE SEARCH FOR TWO ROBBERY SUSPECTS

CARY, NC – CARY, NC – Cary Police are looking for two men who robbed the Crown Station at 2740 NC HWY 55 in the early hours of Sunday, August 20th. Two men entered the building at 12:53 AM. One suspect stayed at the front of the counter brandishing a semi-automatic handgun, and the other suspect moved around the counter and removed the cash from the register while the clerk was standing next to him. The clerk was then ordered to get on the floor, and the suspects left on foot, moving to the south away from the store. The suspects were in and out of the store in less than 1 minute.

The first suspect is a black male, 6’-6’2" tall, 160-180 pounds, slim build, age 25-35, dread locks, wearing a white hat and a dark shirt or jacket. He was carrying a dark, semi-automatic handgun. The second suspect is also a black male, 5’8"-5’9", 195-215 pounds, stocky build, age 25-35, mustache and goatee, wearing a white T-shirt and dark pants, possibly blue jeans. He had a white washcloth or handkerchief on the top of his head and over his forehead with a blue bandana underneath.

The suspects may have run to or been picked up by a dark 2-door vehicle heading north past the store.
