REWARD OFFERED IN GOLF THEFTS
CARY -- The Town of Cary is offering a reward for help in solving a string of related cases involving burglary and larceny in the Preston area of Cary. The Town, in cooperation with Cary Crimestoppers, will pay up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and apprehension of those individuals responsible for burglary and larceny of homes and vehicles.
"We believe that there are citizens with information that can help us solve these cases and put a stop to any further plans these criminals may have," said Lt. Steve Lee of the Cary Police Department.
Since January, Cary Police have been investigating 11 burglaries and larcenies, all of which occurred in Preston and all involving the theft of golf clubs and related equipment. The most recent incident occurred on August 20th. Total value to date of the stolen property exceeds $28,000.
