CARY POLICE CLOSE TO ARREST IN FLASHER CASE
CARY, NC -- Officials of the Cary Police Department are at this hour pursuing the issuance of multiple warrants in the arrest of a suspect in connection with cases involving the molestation of children within their jurisdiction. Cary Police continue to work cooperatively with investigators of the Wake County Sheriffs Department who are also working on a related case.
"We have received good information and are optimistic that this situation will be resolved very soon," said Lt. Steve Lee of the Cary PDs investigative unit. "This is a real tribute to the teamwork between Cary and Wake County," he added.
During the last 24 hours, investigators from both agencies traveled to Charlotte, NC, following promising information that they hope will lead to an arrest.
At this time, authorities are negotiating with the suspect and his attorney to get the suspect to turn himself in to officers at the Wake County Public Safety Center.
