Optimum Mowing Height: 1" - 2"

Centipedegrass
Appearance: Medium to dark green; dense.
Climate Suitability: Grows well where rainfall is high and summers are warm and humid.
Recommendations: Ideal for any general-purpose lawn. Grows well in full sun, yet also adapts well to shade.
Special Characteristics: Low maintenance; has a rapid recovery rate from drought. Recovers slowly from damage and cannot withstand heavy wear; aggressively competes with weeds.
Optimum Mowing Height: 1" - 2"

Optimum Mowing Height: 2" - 3"

Zoysiagrass
Appearance: Light to medium green; fine to medium coarseness.
Climate Suitability: Ideal for hot, humid climates, but many varieties will thrive in cool areas as well.
Special Characteristics: Slow to establish; easy to maintain with low to medium irrigation needs; tolerates heavy traffic. Has the best wear resistance of any grass. It has moderate to good drought resistance and performs fairly well in partial shade. Density prevents most weeds from growing, and some varieties have good resistance to disease. Tolerates high saline and infertile soils relatively well.
Optimum Mowing Height: 1/4" - 1 1/2"
