Save Lots of Water
The Public Works and Utilities Department has developed a game for elementary school children called Save Lots of Water (SLOW) to teach water conservation habits and how individual efforts make a big difference collectively.

Over a week, students perform water-saving activities such as turning off the faucet while brushing their teeth. They chart how much water they saved. The amount that an entire class saves each day is recorded on a picture of a large water drop representing 1,000 gallons. Each class that saves 1,000 gallons and fills the water drop wins an ice cream party. Call 469-4090 to request a SLOW presentation at school.
