All water services (new and existing) must have an approved back flow prevention assembly that is tested annually. Testing, maintenance and repair may be performed only by back flow assembly technicians that the Town of Cary has certified. They will be allowed to perform work on back flow prevention assemblies within Cary's jurisdiction after receiving a technician's certificate. Plumbers who do not meet requirements may call Cary Public Works and Utilities at (919) 469-4090 to learn how to become certified as a back flow prevention assembly technician.
