2008 'Cary Cup' Table Tennis Championship
March 13 - 16, 2008

The Cary Table Tennis Association (Cary TTA) and the Town of Cary host the seventh annual Cary Cup Table Tennis Championship, a nationally and internationally-recognized event.

Some of the top table tennis athletes in the United States, Canada, Europe and South America will compete for more than $13,000 in total prize money in largest round robin table tennis competition in the USA. The tournament also features doubles events and a classic table tennis (hardbat) event reminiscent of table tennis played in the 1940’s. This event, entitled the U.S. Classic Open, will award more than $2,000 in prize money for the top finalists. Spectators for the tournament are welcome, and admission is free for any portion of the tournament.

For beginner participants, several opportunities are available for play:
• Friday – Free skills clinic for all ages;
• Sunday - May participate in the Beginner Event/First time Tournament Event (the U1350 event). First-come, first serve maximum of 44 participants.

Table Tennis Skills/Techniques Clinic for beginners 4-5 p.m.; (FREE but show up with a racquet (and) pre-registration is required directly at Bond Park Community Center)

Beginner Event/First-time Player Event (i.e., U-1350 Event) 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Finals of A Class Cary Cup Championship; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
