*Only 7 year olds who have played at least one
year in T-Ball may choose between the T-ball league and the Mite
league. Those 7 year olds who have not
played T-ball should play T-ball.
All 6 year olds must submit a copy of their birth certificate
with registration.
T-BALL
Participants have a choice of two
T-Ball seasons. The spring season will run from early April through June. The
summer season will run from mid-June through August. Participants must choose one
of the seasons and will not be permitted to play in both seasons. Please check the appropriate box on the registration portion of this
brochure. Each season will consist of
approximately six (6) pre-season practices and ten (10) regular season
games. When games begin, teams
will primarily play one to two games per week and practice once per week.
MITE & MUSTANG
These programs run from early April through June. During the month of April teams will practice
approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend).
When games begin in early May, teams will primarily play one to two
games per week and practice once per week.
BRONCO*,
PONY & COLT
These programs run from
late March through late June. During March and April teams will practice
approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend
practice). When games begin in late
April, teams will usually play one or two
games per week and usually practice once per week. A post-season, single
elimination tournament will be held at
the end of the regular season.
*The Bronco league is divided into two
leagues:
Bronco National League -players with advanced skills.
Bronco American League - players with moderate skills.

SOFTBALL LEAGUES

Ages 17 & older are eligible to
participate in the spring adult women’s softball league.

& UNDER
This program runs from April through June. April through early May teams will practice approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend). When games begin in early May, teams will primarily play one to two games per week and practice once per week. There is no post season tournament for this league.
12 & UNDER AND 16 & UNDER
These programs run from late March through June. Late
March through late April teams will practice
approximately two times each week (one weeknight and one weekend). When games
begin in late April, teams will primarily
play one to two games per week and practice once per week. Post season, single elimination tournaments
will be held in these leagues.
TEAM PLACEMENTS - Ages 11 - 16
New players and players changing leagues (age groups)
should attend a team placement session. Players
returning to the same league will remain on the previous year’s team as long as
they are registered before a waiting list has been formed. At team placements players perform basic
baseball skills which enable the players to be divided into teams more
equitably. Team
placements will be held at Bond Park (
Participants ages 6-10 are placed on teams by athletic staff and do not
attend team placements.

Fees

REFUND/CREDIT POLICY
Refunds must be requested in writing one week prior to the first game. A player may receive a 100% credit, or may request a refund minus a $5.00 administrative fee.
Within the week prior to the first game, refunds will not be given except
for verified medical/hardship cases.
VOLUNTEER COACHES
Volunteer
coaches work with each team under the guidelines of the Parks, Recreation and
Cultural Resources Department. Coaches
are trained and certified by the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.
Communication between parents and coaches is essential for a successful season.
If you
are interested in coaching please check the appropriate box on the registration
form. Coaches are always needed in the
T-ball league!
SPECIAL REQUESTS
At times players may want to play in
another age group or with another team.
Those requests are reviewed by the Athletic Staff and a volunteer
Athletic Committee. Below are guidelines
for this process.
You may request a special request form by
calling (919) 469-4062. Special
Request forms should be submitted by February 24.

this recreational program involves risk of injury. These risks include collision with other
players, being hit by the ball, falling to the ground or into a fence,
scratches, bruises, etc. I further
understand that before participating in this program I should consult a
physician for advice.
By signing this form I acknowledge all
risks of injury and death and affirm that I am willing to assume responsibility
should injury or death result from them.
I also agree to follow all rules and procedures of the program and to
follow the reasonable instructions of the teachers and supervisors of the
