Summer Day Camp (rising 1-6 grades)
Come play with us this summer and create summer memories that will last a lifetime! Our Summer Day Camp is for youth entering the first through sixth grades in 2008. Join us as we create arts and crafts, play games, learn sports, play music, study nature and have an opportunity for recreational/educational field trips. The staff/child ratio is 1:10. All staff members are at least 18 years of age and have received training in conducting activities for youth. Children must bring their lunch, including a drink. The Summer Day Camp at Bond Park Community Center meets Monday-Friday (except July 4th), between 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Campers must be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m.

Teen Adventure Camp (rising 7-9 grades)

Fun, thrills, and adventure is what the Teen Adventure Camp is all about! For students entering the seventh through ninth grades in 2008, campers will participate in activities such as swimming, hiking, games, and sports. The staff/teen ratio is 1:10. Cary Space Camp (rising 1-6 grades)
Spend a week this summer at the Cary Space Camp and become a Jr. Space Explorer. Learn about our solar system, objects in space and what it takes to be an astronaut. Build your own telescope, rocket and robot, and then take them home with you for continued exploration. Take a look into outer space with a field trip to the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center at UNC-Chapel Hill. Jr. Space Explorers will be led by NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratories Solar System Ambassador trained staff, and may be dropped off 7:30-8:30 a.m. and picked up 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Track Out Day Camp (age 5-12)
We will provide an exciting atmosphere for K-5 students with highly organized activities such as arts and crafts, sports and games, recreational/educational field trips and so much more! Our program is staffed with caring and experienced counselors. Please send your child with a lunch and 2 snacks each day. Camp is from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Campers must be picked up no later than 5:30 p.m.

Cary Space Academy (rising 7-9 grades) NEW!
Take your space exploration experience to the next
level. Spend a week at the Cary Space Academy and become a Sr. Space Explorer. Learn about the stars, planets and other objects in space. Become a flight director on simulated missions launching real model rockets. Study, measure and feel the effects of gravity and free fall as you explore amusement park physics on a field trip to Kings Dominion! Sr. Space Explorers will be led by NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratories Solar System Ambassador trained staff, and may be dropped off 7:30-8:30 a.m. and picked up 4:30-5:30 p.m. Please note, drop off for Thu, Aug 7 is no later than 7 a.m. and pick up will be at 7 p.m. due to field trip ‘time travel.’

Safety Town (age 4-6)
Safety Town is a nationally acclaimed five-day program for rising kindergartners that offers hands on safety training by public school teachers, firefighters and police officers. Children should only register for one session, as the schedules are repeated each session. Children should be rising kindergartners. (Program will be somewhat repetitive to children who have completed kindergarten) Safety Town is accredited by the National Safety Town of Cleveland, Ohio. Due to a large number of participants, we cannot accommodate
requests for children to be in a specific classroom.

Mad Science Mini-Camps (rising 1-6 & 7-9 grades)
Mad Science® Mini Camps are fun, educational programs where children will learn about chemistry, becoming a CSI, building robots and flying the Wild Blue Yonder. Children will bring home a variety of theme related projects. Each Mini-Camp meets four days a week for three hours a day. Additional $10 supply fee payable to instructor the first day of class.

Become a laboratory scientist-in-training with our crazy chemworks course. Learn to talk and think like a research scientist. Use the lab ware and materials of real scientists to investigate physical and chemical reactions, perform acid and base reactions, explore the gooey world of slime and shed light on luminescence. End the week with a dry ice capades show and take home your own set of lab ware! Additional $10 supply fee payable to instructor the first day of class.

Teen Volleyball Camp (age 13-18)
An instructional camp designed to teach players the rules and skills of volleyball. Teens will be divided into “beginner” and “advanced” ability groups to ensure that every athlete moves at an appropriate pace. Information taught will include but not be limited to the various rotations, serve receptions, defenses, offenses, and skills of volleyball. This is an excellent “pre-tryout camp” for middle/high school athletes, as well as a good introduction for those new to the game.
