Want to develop leadership skills and serve the community while you
have a great time? Join the Cary Teen Council, a youth volunteer organization,
and make a difference in Cary. Develop leadership qualities as the council
initiates, organizes, supervises and conducts programs and civic projects
of all types that benefit the youth of Cary and the surrounding communities.
Programs and events
focus on the following criteria: social/recreational, community awareness/
service, educational, leadership/ teamwork, and fund raising/ recruitment.
Typical activities include:
> sponsoring Breakfast with the Bunny
> volunteering for the Cary Easter Egg Hunt
> volunteering for Cary Road Race
> implementing Santa’s Workshop and
> sponsoring holiday food drives
> fund-raising opportunities such as the Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts
Festival
> participating in the Bond Park Ropes Course and other statewide
leadership activities
> leisure trips and events such as snow-skiing, trips to Carowinds,
minor and major league sports events, and dances or concerts
Provide a youth
perspective to Town of Cary government like the Teen Council members
who serve in an advisory capacity for various Town boards and commissions.

How can I become a member?
1. Fill out the membership application. Applications are accepted in June and December only.
