Combine a wonderful children’s book, a fun craft and a great recipe and what do you get? Storybook Kitchen. Enjoy all this for 2 days and then what do you get? Storybook Kitchen Summer Style! Each day we will enjoy a great book together and then cook the recipe that each one inspires. While we wait for our culinary creations to cook we will do a book-based craft. Drop your child off for these all new book and recipe offerings, each with a special summer fun twist! $10 supply fee is due to the instructor at the first class.

An American Girl Cooks (age 7-10) NEW
What types of foods were cooking up in the kitchens of Kirsten, Addy and Josephina? During this series we will spend each day traveling back to the times of some of our favorite book characters and discovering our rich history through recipes. Beyond the kitchen, we will be crafting, storytelling and playing historically based games while our food is cooking. Students will get to enjoy their hard work as we eat a piece of American history at the end of each class. A supply fee of $15 is due and payable to the instructor at the beginning of the class.

Around the World in 4 Days! (age 7-10) NEW
We can discover so much about the cultures and peoples of our earth by taking a peek into their kitchens. These classes will find us on a journey exploring the flavors of our world from one side of the globe to the other. Kids will spend the week making connections through hands on cooking, tasting, and discussion of the stories behind the recipes. Supply fee of $20 is due to the instructor on the first day of class.

Mix it Up (age 11-17) NEW
Let’s spend 4 days together learning the basics of good cooking. Each day will have a unique theme and you will prepare, cook and yes, eat some great recipes based on each theme. These include: Lotsa Pasta, Food for Friends, Sweet Endings, and more. Bring your aprons and your appetites -it’s going to be a great time in the kitchen! A $20 supply fee is due at the first class.

Authentic Indian Cooking (age 16 & up)
Tour India by studying vegetarian cuisine of different regions. Foods of these regions are unique and flavorful with spices and seasonings such as garlic, lemon, cumin, coriander, pepper, ginger, mint and cilantro along with vegetables. In addition, the use of fresh vegetables, olive oil, lentils and yogurt makes the cuisine of these regions a healthy choice for today’s lifestyle.

Authentic Indian Vegetarian Cooking
You will prepare an entire meal which consists of lentils, rice, fruits, vegetables, yogurt and naan (bread). All ingredients and spices will be provided for you. A $4 supply fee is included in the cost.

Enjoy a little of this and a little of that from India’s regional vegetarian cuisine. This experience will rejuvenate your taste buds. Coupled with the Authentic Indian Vegetarian Cooking class, you will learn about various spices and balancing them in vegetarian recipes. This will let you develop your own unique, healthy lifestyle. There is a $4 supply fee in the cost of the class.

A Taste of India
