  Annie Jones Greenway: 1.26/paved & unpaved
The park area trails consist of four trails totaling 1.26 miles.  The Lake Pine Link Trailhead is located at he corner of Cary Parkway and Lake Pine Drive.  This trail is a crushed stone surface until it forks.  The Tarbert-Gatehouse Trail, to the right, is paved and the Coatbridge Trail, to the left continues with the crushed stone surface.  The Tarbert-Gatehouse trail leads to a playground, while the Coatbridge Trail leads into the Annie Jones Park.

Directions: From Cary Parkway turn onto Lake Pine Drive going north.  Turn left onto Tarbert Road and the park will be ahead on the right.  The greenway runs behind the playground and parking is available next to the baseball field.


Black Creek Greenway: 3.5/paved
The Black Creek Greenway is a 3.5 mile asphalt trail.  It runs from Lake Crabtree, past North Cary Park, where it terminates at NW Maynard Road across from Godbold Park. This trail has a beautiful observation deck that overlooks Lake Crabtree and links with Umstead State Park, at the Crabtree Lake Trailhead.

This trail was constructed in two different segments. The 2.5 mile northern trail segment is located between Old Reedy Creek Road and West Dynasty Drive. The 1.0 mile southern section is located between N. W. Maynard Road and West Dynasty Drive. These two trail segments terminate at different locations along West Dynasty Road and are linked with a concrete sidewalk. When traveling south on the 2.5 mile trail segment the trail will terminate at West Dynasty Road. To continue on to the next section of the Black Creek Greenway take a right, heading west by sidewalk for 1/3 mile to the one mile southern section of the trail. When traveling north on the 1.0 mile trail segment take a right, heading east by sidewalk for 1/3 mile to continue on to the northern trail segment.

The 2,5 mile northern section provides easy access to Old Reedy Creek Road and its bridge over I-40 and then access to Umstead State Park and its extensive network of trails.

Directions: Northern trailhead with parking can be accessed from North Cary Park on Norwell Boulevard. Southern trailhead with parking located off N.W Maynard Road across from Godbold Park between Harrison Avenue and Chapel Hill Road.


Higgins Greenway: .4/unpaved
The Higgins Greenway is a .4 mile trail that is composed of crushed stone and natural surface.  The trailhead is located on Danforth Drive off of West Chatham Street.  The trailhead is located across the street from the neighborhood recreation area.  This trail runs down to Maynard Road but parking is suggested along Danforth Drive due to to traffic along Maynard Road.  Higgins is one of Cary's oldest greenways and it has excellent Old Growth Trees along the trail that provide for cooler temperatures during the summer months.

Directions: From Maynard Road turn onto West Chatham going Northeast.   Turn right onto Danforth Drive.  The trailhead will be on the right side of the road across from the neighborhood tennis courts.  Parking for this trail is along the side of Danforth Road.


Hinshaw Greenway: .8/paved
The Hinshaw Greenway is .8 mile of asphalt surface.  It runs through the Swift Creek Watershed and has some significantly sized beech trees located just off the trail.  Access to the trail is off Maynard Road on Greenwood Circle.  Parking is located along the street next to the trailhead.  The trail may also be accessed from Seabrook Avenue.  The Seabrook Avenue trailhead is located across from Macdonald Woods Park and parking is limited to the street.

Directions: From Cary High School on Maynard Road, go south and turn left on Greenwood Circle.  The Trailhead will be approximately 50 yards ahead on the right.  parking for this trail is along Greenwood Circle.


Oxxford Hunt Greenway: 1.5/paved
The Oxxford Hunt Greenway is 1.5 miles of crushed stone surface.  The trailhead is located near the corner or Normandale Drive and West Chatham Street. This trail leads into Bond Park. Before the trail enters Bond Park, it is a private trail open for public use.

Directions: From Maynard Road, turn south onto Old Apex Road.  The turn right onto Chatham Street.  The trailhead will be about 200 yards ahead on the left side of the road.  Parking is not provided at this trailhead since it is a private trail.


Parkway Greenway: .8/paved
The Parkway greenway is .8 miles in length that is composed of a paved surface.  This trail connects Bond Park with the Cary YMCA at Cary Parkway.  The trail continues under Cary Parkway, but is a private trail for public use.

This trail may be accessed from Bond Park via the Lake Trail.


Pirates Cove Greenway: .7unpaved
The Pirates Cove Greenway is a .7 mile trail that is paved. This greenway also runs through the Swift Creek watershed, where users will find a cool place to exercise under the canopy of abundant deciduous trees.

Directions: From Cary High School on Maynard Road, go south 1/4 of a mile and turn left onto Seabrook Avenue.  When approaching the traffic circle go 3/4 of the way around the circle and turn right onto Greenwood Circle.  This road quickly dead ends, and the trailhead is located on the right of the dead end.  Parking is along the street at the dead end of Greenwood Circle.


Swift Creek Greenway: .9/paved
The Swift Creek Greenway is a .80 mile trail constructed of recycled asphalt.  This trail is the nations first greenway to be built completely with recycled products!  This trail runs along the northern boarder of Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve and an abundance of wildlife can be viewed with visiting this greenway.  The trailhead is located at Ritter Park, where parking is also provided. 

Directions: From Western Wake Medical Center on Kildaire Farm Road, go south and turn right on Lochmere Drive.  Turn into the park and then follow the parking lot to the left.  The trailhead will be located in the rear of the left parking lot.  Parking is available next to the trailhead in the park.


White Oak Greenway: 1.0/paved
The White Oak Greenway is a 1.2 mile asphalt surface trail.  The trailhead is located at the rear of White Oak Park, with parking located within the park. There is a sidewalk connector from this greenway that connects to Davis Drive Park along Park Village Drive.

Directions: From Westbound High House Road, turn left onto Jenks-Carpenter Road.  Follow Jenks-Carpenter Road for 1.5 miles.  White Oak Park will be ahead on the left. Parking and access to the greenway are located within White Oak Park

Symphony Lake Trail @ Regency Park: 1.22/paved
The Symphony Lake Trail is 1.2 miles of asphalt looping around Symphony Lake in Regency Park.  

Directions: From Westbound Tryon Road (before US 64 JCT), turn left onto Regency Parkway.  Follow Regency Parkway until it forks and bear to the right.  Regency Park will be located 50 yards ahead on the left.  Parking for the trail is available at the lake parking lot.
