8-10 a.m. Fishing Tournament (Waterfront)
Registration at waterfront. Prizes awarded for largest and smallest length fish and other categories. Age groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, and 18 and older.
9 -10 a.m. Parade Preparations (Kiwanis Shelter)
Decorate your bike, trike, stroller, wagon, scooter, or battery-powered children’s automobile for the Parade in the Park. This year’s theme is “American Pride”. (No gas powered vehicles) Limited supplies provided; you are welcome to provide your own or come already prepared! Age groups: 0-10 yrs.
10-10:30 a.m. “Parade in the Park” (Start at Kiwanis Shelter)
Show your American Pride!! Drive, ride or stroll and parade through the park to the Boathouse Dedication Ceremony. Awards will be given in various categories and age groups. Examples: Best decorated, most American, most creative, etc. Age Groups 0-10, Spectators of all ages are welcome to walk with your youngster or watch from the side.
10:30 - 11 a.m. Donut Eating Contest (Waterfront)
Show off your speed eating abilities by eating a donut on a hanging piece of string. Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, 18 and older.
11-11:30 a.m. Hula Hoop Contest (Waterfront)
Show off you skills with a hula hoop. The contestant who can hula hoop the longest wins! Practice now - it is sure to be lots of fun! Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, and 18 and older.
11:30 a.m.-12:30p.m. Lakeside Olympics (Waterfront)
Compete in various activities including sack races, egg spoon races, and other fun relay races. Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, and 18 and older.
12:30-1 p.m. Watermelon Eating Contest (Waterfront)
See how much watermelon you can stuff your face with for a chance to win a prize. Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, and 18 and older.
1 -1:15 p.m. Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest (Waterfront)
Forget your manners and see who can spit watermelon seeds the farthest distance. Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, 18 and older.
1:15-1:45 p.m. Water Balloon Toss (Spillway)
Try to be the team the farthest apart without breaking your balloon. Warning: You may get wet.Age Groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, 18 and older.
2-3 p.m. Water Balloon Volleyball (Spillway)
Play the game of volleyball with a twist. All Ages.
