Entry & Registration
Information
Recreational Runners
Runners in this classification will not be eligible for awards and will
not have finishing times recorded. A digital clock will be provided
at the end of the race. The recreational classification also includes
those runners with baby joggers in both the 5K and the 10K events. The
passenger must be secured in the stroller and wearing a safety helmet.
All strollers require a minimum 14" diameter wheel and must be
a heavy-duty stroller designed for racing. All strollers must pass a
safety inspection before being allowed on the course. Safety inspection
will be held at the stage at the start area from 8 - 8:15 a.m. Entrants
with baby joggers are asked to yield to other runners.
Competitive Runners
Runners in this classification will be eligible for awards and will
have times recorded in the race results.
Note: All competitive runners
report to Koka Booth Amphitheatre Crescent between 6:30 and 9 a.m. to
pick up timing chip.

Fun Run - No charge, but registration required
Pre-registration:
Recreational 5K or 10K - $8
Competitive 5K or 10K - $11
Race Day Registration:
Recreational 5K or 10K - $10
Competitive 5K or 10K - $15
Registration fee does not include T-shirt; please add $5 per shirt
*PLEASE NOTE - Registration fee does not include T-shirt; please add $5 for each 100% cotton short sleeve shirt and $15 for each long sleeve moisture-wicking performance shirt.
Awards
The awards ceremony for each race will be held approximately 30 minutes after the last participant finishes the race. Please note that only runners registered in the
competitive classification are eligible for awards. Awards will be given
for the following:
> Top three overall male and female winners in each race
> Top three male and female master and grand master finishers in each race
> Top three male and female in each division (anyone who wins an overall award, masters award or grand masters award will not be eligible for divisional awards)
> The youngest and oldest runners
> Fun Run participants will receive ribbons

Proceeds
Proceeds for the Cary Road Race are earmarked annually for local youth
and fitness projects. Past projects include Cary High School track resurfacing
and contributions to Kids Together playground and Triangle Area Special
Olympics athletes. This year’s Cary Road Race proceeds will be
used to enhance existing greenways and trails in Cary. There are more
than 21 miles of greenways and trails in the Cary area, with many linking
to state and county trails. Cary residents have enjoyed these amenities
since 1980.
