Community Tree Project The holiday season is a time to celebrate peace, good-will and coming together. The Town is inviting organizations to join us as we create the first ever Town of Cary Community Tree. Located in Town Hall, this tree will feature ornaments created by members of our community. Schools, businesses, churches, non-profit organizations and clubs will create an ornament that reflects the intent or purpose of their organization. How it looks is up to you: it can be flat or chunky; painted or decorated with odds and ends; and created from many types of materials. All the ornaments will be hung on the tree during the Town’s Official Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, 2007. How to Participate 1. RSVP to the Town of Cary’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department at (919) 469-4061 to let us know that your organization or group wants to participate. 2. Create your ornament using the specifications below. Remember, this is a reflection of how your group positively impacts the unique fabric of the Cary community. 3. Bring your ornament to the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department at Town Hall by Nov. 26, 2007. 4. Come to the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Community Tree decorating celebration on Dec. 1, 2007 and represent your group!
