Web Use Report September 2001 This is the second of bimonthly reports on Web use statistics for townofcary.org. The third major overhaul of the Web site was completed in July 2001, and statistics for this report reflect the topical focus of the site. However, reliable judgments about features and organization require more than two months of comparison. I. Summary of Activity Web site activity during September 2001 was down significantly over July, even after allowing for the one-day difference on the calendar. Additional months of comparison may reveal whether the unveiling of the Web site redesign in July created unusually heavy demand that month. For September, the last week of the month was busiest with 36,762 requests for pages. The busiest day was Sept. 10 with 7,427 page requests. In descending order, the busiest days on average were Thursday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Monday. The least busy day was Saturday. Few differences emerged in the lists of most frequently visited files from July to September 2001. II.
