Web Use Report March 2002


This is the fifth of bimonthly reports on Web use statistics for townofcary.org. The third major overhaul of the Web site was completed in July 2001, and statistics for this report reflect the topical focus of the site.
 
  1. Summary of Activity

    2. The amount of Web site activity during March 2002 was similar to January 2002 with a slight increase in the total requests for pages.

    The busiest week began March 18. The busiest days were Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Thursday. The busiest hours were 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., with traffic dropping significantly after 5 p.m.

    The top five most requested pages did not change from January. News releases about Amanda Simpson-Deane generated considerable interest.

    Feedback
    The assistant to the manager compiled 43 feedback messages during February and March 2002. Subjects included directions to Human Resources, an e-mail virus alert, cell tower information, Web updates, traffic signals, the Princeville volunteer form and a fence information request.
