This is the 19th of bimonthly reports on Web use statistics for townofcary.org. The first report was in July 2001.

I. Summary of Activity

Average daily page views decreased by 6.4 percent from May 2004 but were up by about 8.75 percent over July 2003.

Page views for the Recreation second tier and Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources home page were lower in July 2004 than in May 2004. May is a heavy month for program registration because of the program brochure publication cycle. It is also a busy month for events. In contrast, July is at the tail end of a program cycle and fewer events are held during the middle of summer.
July comparisons show heavier Recreation second tier traffic this year than last year, but fewer page views for the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources home page.

Page views for the Job Openings and Employment second tier pages were also lower in July than in May. Advertising for summer temporary jobs is heavy during May in contrast to July. July comparisons show heavier Employment second tier traffic this year than last year, but fewer views of the Job Openings page.

Throughout the Web site, 70 pages were viewed at least 500 times during July 2004 compared with 77 pages during May and March 2004. The totals were 67 pages in January 2004, 57 in November 2003 and 61 in September 2003.
