- Summary
of Activity
Total
Web site activity during July 2003 dropped sharply from the record
high usage of May 2003 and was also lower than in March 2003. July
2003 activity was greater than all other months tracked and was up
7 percent over July 2002.
The
Current Agenda page received 10,000 fewer hits in July than in May,
when Web interest in Town Council business was extraordinarily heavy.
Even so, July visits to the Current Agenda page and the Agendas second
tier were more numerous in May than in March.
July
visits to the Doing Business second tier page were a small fraction
of the totals from March and May. Even so, the July total of 820 was
larger than in November 2002 or January 2003. The reason for the spike
in March and May is not yet clear since visits to the bids and proposal
requests page were relatively stable during March, May and July.
Athletic
league schedules apparently are another reason for the drop off in
page visits in July from the previous report. Two Men's Church Softball
League pages were among the top pages during May 2003, averaging more
than 9,000 visits each. The spring season wound down during June,
even though tournament play extended into July.
Sixty-six
pages received at least 500 visits during July compared with 58 in
March and 67 in July. The number of pages with at least 500 hits was
59 in July 2002 and 37 in July 2001.
