Web Use Report July 2002
This is the seventh of bimonthly reports on Web use statistics for townofcary.org. The first report was in July 2001.
I. Summary of Activity
Web site activity during July 2002 was the heaviest of any month tracked thus far, continuing the upward trend over the five previous reports. During July 2002, the average daily number of requests for pages was 14 percent greater than in May.
The busiest week began July 1. The busiest day was Monday, with traffic decreasing with each passing day of the week
As usual, Job Openings, Search and Employment second tier were at the top of the most-requested files list. As in May, Amphitheatre at Regency Park was the most-visited Web section for a specific program, service or facility. July statistics show that Web site users went beyond the introductory page for the amphitheatre, visiting several of the "button" pages for the section and even a third-level map page.
Other popular program or service pages included Alternate Day Watering, Skate Park and Reclaimed Water. Popularity of second tier pages varied greatly as in previous reports. Employment second tier had 8,270 visits. The Emergencies second tier page had only 281 visits.
