ACTIVE RECRUITMENT THIS WEEK. POLICE OFFICER I (HRSS) - VACANCY #09-140 - POLICE/TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT - Normal starting salary: $37,554, plus excellent benefits. SERVICES ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY/PART-TIME) (HRSS) - VACANCY #09-145-
POLICE/TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT - Normal starting hourly rate: $16/15 hours per week. Position
will assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing crime prevention
and community service activities of the Department. Typical duties
may include presenting community prevention talks; conducting security
surveys; coordinating business and community watch programs; assisting
in organizing special events like National Night Out, Special Olympics
Torch Run, Lazy Days, Public Safety Days, etc.; supporting the Child ID
program; maintaining the Community Services web page; and responding to
citizen questions and concerns regarding crime prevention. Requires
graduation from high school and a minimum of two years professional,
paid experience specifically related to law enforcement.
Prefer experience in crime

ATTENDANT (WEEKEND) (HRSS) - VACANCY #09-146 - PUBLIC WORKS/UTILITIES
DEPARTMENT -
Normal starting salary: $24,190, plus excellent benefits.
Work a 40-hour week (typically Friday through Monday, but
flexibility is required) in all weather conditions performing routine
maintenance, cleaning, and trash removal for Town of Cary parks,
greenways, public buildings, and facilities. Conduct safety/vandalism
inspections and do minor repairs. Assist with Town- sponsored special
events setting up tables, chairs, and other equipment. Strong emphasis
placed emphasis on excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Must be familiar with tools and equipment associated with
maintenance/custodial duties, have the physical ability to lift heavy
items, and be able to work independently or on a team. Requires a valid
driver’s license and any combination of experience and education
equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in

DEPARTMENT - Expected hiring salary range: $67,412 - $95,784, plus

The Town of Cary, NC, a progressive community of 137,000 that is
nationally recognized for its quality of life, is seeking an exceptional
candidate to oversee difficult technical and administrative work in the
management of the Town's water distribution, wastewater collection, and
reclaimed water systems. Requires progressive experience in managing a
utility division, including: technical knowledge of collection,
distribution, and utility pumping systems; knowledge of current
technology used in the design, operation, and maintenance of utility
systems; knowledge of aging infrastructure rehabilitation technologies
and occupational hazards associated with utility work; and excellent
communication skills. Must have previous experience supervising the work
of others. Requires any combination of education and experience
equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with a
degree in engineering or environmental science. Must have a valid
driver’s license. Registration as a professional engineer (PE) in the
