PET
TAGS All
dogs and cats four months of age or older residing within
the Town of Cary must wear a pet tag. If your animal
becomes lost and Animal Control locates it, information
on the ownership of the animal is quickly obtained by
checking the pet tag number with computer records. The owner may complete an application
form [ html ]and procure a
pet tag in the Collections Division located at Town Hall,
316 North Academy Street in Cary from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pet tags may be obtained
for a one-time fee as listed below. Tags are not
transferable from one pet to another. Pet License Tax: Non-neutered dog or cat
permanent pet tag: $20 one-time fee Neutered dog or cat
permanent pet tag: $10 one-time fee (Veterinarian's records required) Penalty for not displaying
tag: $20 one-time fee If you have questions
