Overview
The Southeast Area
Plan covers more than 2,000 acres in the southeastern
portion of Cary’s planning area. (See a
map of the study area.) This
master plan establishes the Town’s official long-range vision and
recommendations for land uses, parks, roads, sidewalks, and greenways.
The Southeast Area
Plan was developed during 2002-2004. It is based partly
on traffic modeling of alternative land use scenarios. Development of
the
plan included extensive community participation.
The plan supplements
the Cary Comprehensive Plan. It amends the Town of
Cary Land Use Plan; Comprehensive
Transportation Plan; and the Parks,
Recreation and Cultural Resources Facilities Master Plan.
