Town Council Goals for Town Hall Expansion

Ensure the Town continues to provide quality, customer-oriented service

  1. Pull together all departments except the Public Works and Utilities Department back onto Town Hall campus. Currently, the Human Resources and the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources departments are off campus.
  2. Build a state-of-the-art Council Chambers.
  3. Provide easy access to Town services. (Campus design includes well-marked walkways leading to a central concourse with customer-service windows and access to departmental offices.)
Provide enough space for 10 years or more of growth.

(The new building at 120 Wilkinson Ave. has been designed to accommodate the Police and Technology Services departments for 20 years.)

Enhance the park-like atmosphere of the campus.

Design includes a civic arboretum concept with a reflecting pool and extensive landscaping. Grounds of the Page-Walker Arts and History Center will also be upgraded.
