Management Program for Nitrogen Control
The program purpose is to protect water supplies for Cary and surrounding areas by minimizing the amount of nitrogen and other pollutants that storm water carries.
Objectives include:
- Protecting of stream buffers
- Controlling nitrogen export from development
- Controlling peak storm water runoff
- Using best management practices
Storm water regulations are found in chapter 7 (7.3) of the Land Development Ordinance.
