Town of Cary Involvement

The Town is advancing nearly $16 million for the project, enabling the state Department of Transportation to widen N.C. 55 about four years sooner than it had anticipated. The Town money is for construction from U.S. 64 to just north of Petty Farm Road. An agreement between the state and Town specifies repayment.
