Overview (Spring 2007)

The N.C. Department of Transportation is widening Davis Drive to four lanes with a median from just north of Morrisville-Carpenter Road northward to N.C. 54. The DOT project designation is U4026.

The Town of Cary has executed a municipal agreement with the state and obtained rights-of-way and easements, and will pay for construction of the portion of the project between Morrisville-Carpenter Road and McCrimmon Parkway. The Town has budgeted $5.79 million for that portion of the project.

A separate Davis Drive project involves widening south of Morrisville-Carpenter Road.

Contract awarded to CC Mangum - Contractor takes control of site Feb. 5, 2007
Contract completion date - November 1, 2009
