Tentative Schedule for Town-Initiated Annexation
Phase I (2007-2011 Annexation Areas)

• September/October 2008 – Council adopts a resolution of intent to annex
• September/October 2008 – Notification letter sent to affected property owners
• October/November 2008 – Staff holds public information session
• November 2008 – Council holds public hearing
• December 2008/January 2009 – Council considers annexation ordinance
• June 30, 2009 – If adopted, annexation becomes effective on this date
