Overview
The Cary Town Council was officially presented the Recommended Fiscal Year 2009 Budget at its regular meeting on Thursday, May 8, 2008. Fiscal Year 2009 covers the time period from July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
The Recommended Budget along with this list of changes was adopted by the Town Council on June 26, 2008.

| Property Tax Rate | 33 cents per $100 of property valuation (a 9 cent decrease) |
| Sanitation Fee | $14.00 per month (an increase of $2.25 per month) |
