GFOA AWARD FOR DISTINGUISHED BUDGET PRESENTATION

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented an award of Distinguished Budget Presentation, including “special performance measures recognition”, to the Town of Cary for its annual budget for Fiscal Year 2008 which began July 1, 2007. In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets specific program criteria as a policy document, an operations guide, a financial plan, and a communications device.

The Fiscal Year 2009 budget will be submitted to GFOA for award consideration as well.
