PROJECT TITLE: Holt Road to Davis Drive Water Line Connection

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This project provides water line connection from the existing 36-inch transmission main on Holt Road to Davis Drive near Westhigh Street. The Holt Road to Davis Drive Water Connection project will close gaps where water line connections have not been provided by development. Additionally, this project, in conjunction with development and the proposed Jenks-Carpenter/Holt Road reinforcement, will reinforce the southern segment of the central pressure zone.

Total project cost is estimated to be $1,173,000. FY 2009 funding of $144,000 addresses design and easement acquisition. An additional $1,029,000 will be necessary in FY 2010 for construction.

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION:

The Holt Road to Davis Drive Water Line Connection project will provide improved looping and alternate west-to-east feed from the Cary/Apex Water Treatment Plant (C/AWTP) to the Town’s central and southern water pressure zones along the southern edge of the Town of Cary's utility service boundary with Apex.
