PROJECT TITLE:   Cary Parkway Southwest Water Line Reinforcement

FIRST YEAR ESTIMATED OPERATING COSTS:   None

 

 

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The Cary Parkway Southwest Water Line Reinforcement project provides 16,200 linear feet of 20–inch water line along southwest Cary Parkway between Westhigh Street and Kildaire Farm Road to reinforce the existing waterline at that location.  The FY 2009 appropriation of $2,250,000 fully supports this project with no additional funding requests anticipated.

 

 

PROJECT JUSTIFICATION:

This project provides additional water service capacity in order to meet periods of peak demand and high fire fighting flow. The project will improve service in the Town’s existing utility service area while compensating for higher service demands elsewhere in the utility system.
