Text Box: TOWN OF MORRISVILLE
FISCAL YEAR 2008 WATER AND SEWER RELATED CAPITAL FEES

The Town of Morrisville water and sewer system was officially merged with the Town of Cary system effective

April 1, 2006. As part of the merger agreement, merger related costs will be partially recovered through water and sewer impact fees until such time as the costs are fully recovered.  The level of fees will be determined each year as part of the budget development process.

A.      WATER DEVELOPMENT FEE:  These charges are in addition to water and sewer tap charges (see table of Utility Connection Fees in the Operating Budget Fee Schedule).  The water and sewer development fees are based on the total area under roof in square feet for residential property and are based on the size of the water meter serving non-residential property at an equivalent dwelling unit rate of $1,836 for water using 435 gallons on a peak day.  These fees are due at building permit issuance.  The schedule of charges for the water development fee, as required by Town Code (Chapter 19), shall be as follows.
