Summer is here and things are heating up in Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources! During the month of July, catch a flick under the stars at Koka Booth's Movies by Moonlight, sponsored by WakeMed. Baseball is in full swing July 29-31 as the USA Baseball National Training Facility in Cary hosts the 17U/18U Cup. And, come August, we’re excited to double the fun at Lazy Daze, which will now be a two-day festival. There is so much to do this summer and I hope all of you take advantage of the Town’s programs, events and festivals. I plan on enjoying the shade canopy of the greenways as I get out in the evenings for daily walks. And something we are all very excited about is that we are going for the Gold! The Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is proud to have been nominated as a finalist for the 2016 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), through the Gold Medal Awards program, honors U.S. communities that  demonstrate excellence in parks and recreation through long-range planning, resource management, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, program development, professional development and agency recognition.

 We've got your favorite fall activities, programs,sporting events, and concerts. Look for your hard copy of our Fall 2016 Program Guide in libraries, the Chamber of Commerce, or any Town of Cary staffed facility.  Or, view it online.
