Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources

Summer is here and things are heating up in Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources! Our canine friends are taking over Bond Park for the Dogs Days of June. We’re turning it red, white and blue in July to celebrate with parades, music and good old-fashioned fireworks. And come August we’re excited to double the fun at Lazy Daze, which will now be a two-day festival. There is so much to do this summer and I hope all of you take advantage of the Town’s programs, events and festivals. I plan on enjoying the shade canopy of the greenways as I get out in the evenings for daily walks. And something we are all very excited about is that we are going for the Gold! Check out the video and links below.

Celebrate the good ol' USA with us! The festivities begin July 3 as we salute the American flag with patriotic music at the Cary Arts Center.  On July 4, join us for an old-fashioned celebration of our nation's birth with fun for all ages at Fred G. Bond Metro Park.  Then, later that same day, join us at Koka Booth Amphitheatre for family-friendly activities, music, and a fireworks display. Happy Birthday, America!
