Here at the Town of Cary, we are looking forward to a fun and festive fall!  Be sure to check out all of our fall programs and your favorite holiday events; registration is now open for residents and non-residents. I hope all of you take advantage of the Town’s programs, events and festivals. I plan on enjoying the shade canopy of the greenways as I get out in the evenings for daily walks. And something we are all very excited about is that we are going for the Gold! The Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources is proud to have been nominated as a finalist for the 2016 National Gold Medal Awards for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. The American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), through the Gold Medal Awards program, honors U.S. communities that  demonstrate excellence in parks and recreation through long-range planning, resource management, volunteerism, environmental stewardship, program development, professional development and agency recognition.
