INVITATION TO BID

 

TOWN OF CARY

Cary, North Carolina

 

            Sealed proposals will be received by the Town of Cary at the office of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department, 316 N. Academy Street, Cary, North Carolina until Thursday, May 22 at 3:00  p.m. and thereafter immediately opened and read publicly for the furnishing of materials, labor, and equipment for the construction of Walnut Street Park, Project No. PR1084.  A brief project description is as follows:

 

Installation of a Brick Promenade, Trails (asphalt), Boardwalk, Parking lot (40 spaces), Prefab Restroom Structure, Playground (Equipment supplied and installed by owner), Landscaping, Road Widening of Lawrence Road, Utilities

 

            Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be seen at http://townofcary.contractorsplanroom.com upon registering online, at the office of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, Cary Town Hall; the Associated General Contractors, Raleigh office; McGraw-Hill Construction Dodge, Morrisville office; the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development, Durham office; and the Cary office of CDC News; after Monday, April 28 The Town of Cary nor its consultants are responsible for bidders relying on incomplete bid documents.

 

            Copies of Plans, Specifications and Contract documents may be obtained after Monday, April 28 online at http://townofcary.contractorsplanroom.com at vendor pricing or at the Office of the Brian Starkey, 306/200 Parham Street, Suite B, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601 (919-755-0046) upon non-refundable payment of $50 per set in cash or check.  A postage and handling charge of $10 will be added for any items which are mailed.

 

            Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina.   A Town of Cary Privilege License in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes is required for award of the project.  All bids must include a non-collusive affidavit.

 

            Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders.

 

            The Town of Cary reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
