ENGINEERING SERVICES

TOWN OF
PARKS, RECREATION, & CULTURAL RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
INTRODUCTION:
This
project includes the design of a missing trail segment to link Swift Creek and
Symphony Lake Greenways. Currently, the
Swift Creek Greenway terminates at Regency Parkway, without a safe way to
access
It
is expected the existing Swift Creek Greenway will need to be realigned in order
to connect to the new pedestrian bridge as well as the existing sidewalk. The pedestrian bridge will be constructed
adjacent to Regency Parkway auto bridge, where it
crosses over Swift Creek. The new
portion of the trail that will connect to the signalized crossing is planned to
be a multi-use path adjacent to Regency Parkway.
Construction
funding will be requested in early January 2009 via the FY 2010 capital
budgeting process based on cost estimates developed in this project.
Location: Regency Parkway between the current terminus point of
the Swift Creek Greenway and the signalized intersection.
