Approval of the February 25, 2004 and March 24, 2004 Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve made by Mr. Jones and seconded by Ms. Hutcheson. Minutes were approved by a vote of 7-0

Town Council Report:  Town Council meeting April 15, 2004

Mr. Morehead reported that no items from TCRC had been addressed at the last Town Council meeting

A.

Temporary Public Art Exhibition Program in Downtown Cary

• Public Art Advisory Board Agenda for April 21, 2004
• Public Art Staff Report

Motion made by Mr. Jones and seconded by Ms. Hutcheson to recommend the locations of public art as proposed by staff to the May 13^th Town Council meeting.

The Commission voted unanimous approval, 7-0.

B.

Artistic Signs Proposal

The Commission discussed the possibility of integrating aspects of public art into commercial signs in the downtown area.

The Commission concluded that it had no direct authority to initiate such a change, but would speak with individual Town Council members to see if there was someone who would be interested in sponsoring a change to the downtown sign ordinance.
