Approval of the November 30, 2005 Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve made by Mr. Andy Hadsell. Seconded by Ms. Katherine Oury. Minutes were approved unanimously by a vote of 5-0.

Approval of the February 22, 2006 Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve made by Mr. Andy Hadsell.  Seconded by Ms. Katherine Oury. Minutes were approved unanimously by a vote of 5-0.

Introduction of new Town Council Liaison

Sustainable Design Assessment Team

Ms. Renee Hutcheson opened the discussion by providing the basic guidelines and principles behind the Sustainable Design Assessment Team (SDAT) concept.  After further discussion, commission members agreed to revisit the topic at a later date, allowing staff time for further research. 

Ms. Hutcheson will also provide Ms. Tara Adams additional information on Sustainable Design.  This information will be passed along to staff to aid in their review.

Following the PowerPoint presentation provided by staff, the TCRC Commission members offered the following suggestions:

  • The uses of water features to attract pedestrians to the downtown area

  • The need to address existing stormwater issues in Town of Cary parks
