Approval of the December 13, 2006 Meeting Minutes

Motion to approve made by Mr. Parker, and seconded by Ms. Hutcheson.   

Minutes were approved unanimously by a vote 
of 7-0
.

Introductions
TCRC members introduced themselves to new member Thomas Gruber and staff.  Staff introduced themselves and explained their responsibilities within the Department.
      B. Election of Vice Chairperson


Motion by Ms. Hutcheson, second by Mr. Hadsell, to nominate Nathaniel Parker to serve as TCRC vice chair.   

Motion carried unanimously 7-0.

      C. Outline of Discussion
Mr. Nicholas explained the purpose of the orientation session and provided an outline of the topics to be presented.  Also reviewed the TCRC member handbook prepared and distributed by staff.

Area Plan

Downtown Projects

 


Mr. Ramage presented an overview of the Town Center District, including the Town Center Area Plan and Downtown Design Guidelines.  Discussed the various elements of the Plan and the history of developing the document.

Ms. Morris presented an overview and the implementation status of the Town Center Strategic Action Plan.  She also provided an update of various projects and initiatives regarding the Town Center area, including the Downtown Streetscape Plan and website.

Site/Subdivision Plan Review Processes and Procedures

 


Mr. Nicholas presented an overview of the TCRC role in reviewing development plans in the Town Center area.  Discussed the Land Development Ordinance and other relevant documents, plan review process and procedures, and applying the regulations and guidelines to plan reviews.
     F. Summary
Presentation concluded with a summary of topics discussed.
