Project Description:
| The site is located within Bond Park near the corner of Maury O Dell Place and High House Road. The site will be accessed by two drives off Maury O Dell Place. The plans propose a 16,118 square foot facility on 9.2 acres. The building will be constructed of gray and off-white brick to match the Community Center #2 currently under construction. The area is zoned R-30 and R-30 PUD. The property is inside Carys town limits. |

| Description | The plans comply with all zoning requirements. Be advised that the site plan will be subject to Major Special Use approval by the Town Council. Since the site has been classifed as a recreation center, the R-30 zoning district requires this type of land use to obtain a major special use permit. |

Appearance Commission had the following comments:
The plans comply with the majority of recommendations from the Appearance Commission. The Appearance Commissions recommendation to light the internal trails has been forwarded to the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department for their consideration. In addition, the recommendation for a sidewalk along Maury O Dell Place has been forwarded to the applicant to incorporate into the plan. However, at the time of this writing, the plans have not yet been revised to show the sidewalk. |
